My paintings deal with the rural landscape. They are void of modern buildings. Void of cars and evidence of man. They refer to the power and awe associated with the landscape and all creation. My color palate is subjective and expressive. I believe that as creation is untamed by man, so then the colors that must express the creation.
Each painting is made by bringing order and beauty out of chaos. I find that how a painting begins is almost never how it will end. Many times preconceived ideas I have will be destroyed and then reformed by the paint. My final goal is to birth a painting that expresses beauty, power, space, and awe at the possibilities of creation and the hands that made it.
